A 40th Backyard Birthday Celebration

When the host first reached out, she described her vision for her husband's 40th birthday in one phrase: “White Lotus Sicily.” An elevated but relaxed backyard gathering, full of ease, intention, and beautiful moments. No over-the-top decor, just an intimate evening with the people they love, thoughtfully curated food and drinks, and a bar that felt more resort than rental.


We partnered with her to bring that energy to life, starting with a custom cocktail menu and bar setup designed to blend into the atmosphere. From the shopping list to the final pour, we made every detail feel seamless.

Guests: 40

Service Hours: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Set-Up: Client provided their own 5-ft table. We added a 6-ft table and white linen for back bar + storage.

Service Request: 2 signature cocktails + beer setup (alcohol purchased by host using our shopping list)

With a nod to the classics, the cocktails were personalized for the occasion.


Marko's Italian Margherita

2 oz Reposado

1 oz Amaretto Liqueur

1 oz Fresh Lime Juice

4 Dashes of Orange Bitters

Dehydrated Lime + Orange Garnish


Old Man's Old Fashioned

2 oz Bourbon

.5 oz Thyme Infused Oleo Saccharum

4 Dashes of Cherry Bitters

4 Dashed of Aromatic Bitters

Fresh Thyme + Dehydrated Lemon + Orange Garnish


We provided all non-alcoholic ingredients, fresh juice, house-made syrups, cocktail garnishes, ice, glassware, and tools. The host brought the alcohol, with help from our shopping list.


Alcohol Planning

Every guest list is different. This group leaned all the way into cocktails, especially the tequila.

  • 5 (750 ml) Bottles of Reposado Tequila

  • 3 (750 ml) Bottles of Amaretto

  • 3 (750 ml) Bottles of Bourbon

  • 1 (750 ml) Bottle of Gin

  • 1 (750 ml) Bottle of Aperol

  • 1 (750 ml) Bottle of Sweet Vermouth

  • 1 (12 pk) Domestic/Import Lager

  • 1 (12 pk) Local Craft

  • 2-3 Bottles of White Wine

  • 1-2 Bottles of Red Wine

  • 1-2 Bottles of Bubbles (Champagne, Cava, or Prosecco)


SERVED

  • 8 (750 ml) Bottles of Reposado Tequila

  • 3 (750 ml) Bottles of Amaretto

  • 3 (750 ml) Bottles of Bourbon

  • 1 (750 ml) Bottle of Gin

  • 10 (17 oz) Cans of European Beer Varieties


It's always encouraged for the party host to shop for their group. With that in mind, wine was not provided for this party. 95% of the party enjoyed cocktails with a few male guests enjoying the European beer varieties ranging from 4%-9% ABV (alcohol by volume).
